Beatrice Kennedy’s

Beatrice Kennedy’s

Situated in a glorious Victorian townhouse, Beatrice Kennedy’s is located in the Queen’s Quarter, an exciting spot of the city. Previously a doctor’s surgery, owner Jim McCarthy is said to have named the restaurant after the GP’s wife.

The old-style dining room has a homely ambience, adorned with bookshelves and old furnishings, guests are lulled as they eat with gentle jazz.

The wide range of starters available are tasty and exciting. A quick glance at the menus reveals a range of main course dishes crafted from local Northern Irish meat and produce. Each dish is a treat, while being beautifully familiar and modern.

A traditional Fermanagh rib-eye with chips and parmesan sits above sea bream fillet with chorizo and white bean cassoulet on a menu that rewards all tastes. The offering of an exclusively vegetarian menu is a refreshing and considerate idea, and is as exciting a read as it’s regular counterpart. Again, simplicity and creativity add charm to choice with each dish.

To accompany the meal or end the night, a fine selection of brandies, whiskies and dessert wines are available. Exciting in-house cocktails also have pride of place and should be at least tested.

Overall, the impressive spot provides a charming evening meal, great for special occasions, that you shouldn’t miss out on while you’re in town.

The Moghul

The Moghul

There's something slightly Romantic about the Moghul. It’s on Botannic Ave, which is the chic area for coffee and culture and a youthful buzz. But also that it’s on the first floor, so there’s a sense of being just above all the goings on.
But location is only the start. The Moghul gives its all for the finest dining experience in Indian cuisine. Mr. Bansi Lai, the Proprietor and cuisine enthusiast has gathered his culinary experience and the traditional tastes of India to bring together the tongue teasing delights to Belfast.
Moghul’s menu is beautifully set – always having something new to try and gain favourites for future visits. With various deals and specials, the meal out needn’t be a difficult affair….and if you live closeby, why not bring some of this cosiness to your own cosy spot. You can have their items for TakeAway if you’d like.
Not only does the Moghul have their eyes set on giving a great meal, but also they can provide superb buffets for outside catering and special events. With seating of between 25 – 100 for a party, the Moghul could be the intimate spot you’re looking for gatherings.

Great food. Great location. Great atmosphere. Indian cuisine has itself a beautiful diplomat for its reputation in Belfast.
